With 20 years of experience facilitating individual and organizational change, Brett quickly understands the strengths and struggles of her clients and creates a practical pathway for them to become more effective leaders. Her down-to-earth and personable style engages clients in a productive partnership, resulting in increased self-awareness and stronger leadership presence. As a coach, organizational consultant, and psychotherapist, Brett is particularly skilled at helping her clients improve the critical element of leadership: relationships.
Brett has coached hundreds of emerging and senior leaders at organizations including Genentech, the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), the Broad Residency, Facebook, Stanford University, Medicaid, and Sutter Health. Brett also conducts qualitative 360 reviews, teaches leadership trainings, and facilitates team development, organizational change processes, and staff retreats.
In addition to her work as a leadership coach, Brett is a psychotherapist (Marriage and Family Therapist) providing counseling for individuals, couples, and business partners. Previously Brett worked as Director of Coaching at the UCSF Center for the Health Professions and as Senior Organizational Consultant for Blue Shield of California. She received a 2021 Distinguished Service award from the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis for her contributions to the ongoing development of the organization.
Brett received a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute for Integral Studies. She completed her coaching certification at New Ventures West.
